Meet Niina Kriikka, our Research Engineer! 🚀
Niina’s journey at Oseir began in 2000, shortly after she graduated with a Master of Science (Tech) degree in Physics from Tampere University. Her potential was immediately noticed, and she was recruited to join our team during Oseir’s very first steps.
Back when the company was just starting out, Niina’s role was a mix of everything — from everyday office tasks like packing, cleaning, and assembly, to core product development. Nowadays, as our team has grown and responsibilities have become more specialized, Niina can put all her focus on her real expertise: high-tech calibration and advancing our diagnostic tools. She is truly dedicated to developing devices that meet our customers’ needs in the best possible way. 🔬
Recently, Niina’s focus has been especially on driving forward thermal spraying diagnostics. Across the different responsibilities she has had throughout her career, Niina appreciates that she has learned how to bravely tackle unknown challenges and solve problems that don’t have ready-made answers.
In her free time, if Niina isn’t at the office (which is where she usually is), you can most likely find her in the beautiful Finnish nature, especially during the summer and autumn picking berries and hunting mushrooms. She also finds balance through handicrafts like crocheting or reading a good book. 🌲🍄
