In Tampere, Vappu isn’t just a holiday—it’s a high-intensity endurance sport for university students. We’re talking about the kind of dedication that involves wearing the same pair of overalls for 18 days straight and managing the optimal Sima🥂-to-Munkki🍩-ratio to keep the systems running.
Even though Oseir’s alumni-teekkaris may now only have their yellowed caps and golden memories, Vappu is still a highlight of the year. Being just a stone’s throw away from Tampere University, it’s the perfect time to see the students in full celebration mode and remember where it all started.
